Job Title: Senior Truck Upfitting & Hydraulic Systems Technician
Location: Fulton, OH
Job Type: Full‑Time, Onsite
Pay: $28 – $38 per hour DOE
Job Summary:
We are a busy vacuum tank fabrication and truck equipment shop looking for an experienced Senior Truck Upfitting & Hydraulic Systems Technician to join our team. You’ll work hands‑on modifying truck frames, installing hydraulics and PTOs, relocating axles, wiring electrical systems, and mounting vacuum tanks. This is a skill‑based role — we want someone who takes pride in quality work and can complete builds from start to finish.
Responsibilities:
Install hydraulic systems, hoses, pumps, valves, and controls
Install PTO units and auxiliary systems on truck drivetrains
Shorten and extend truck frames safely to spec
Mount vacuum tanks and secure to chassis
Wire 12V systems for lights, controls, and accessories
Read and interpret build orders, schematics, and drawings
Perform structural welding and basic fabrication
Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
Maintain a clean, safe work area
Qualifications:
5+ years experience in truck upfitting, fabrication, or heavy equipment work
Strong hydraulic and PTO knowledge
Proven frame modification and welding skills
12V electrical wiring experience
Ability to read schematics and blueprints
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
Reliable, punctual, and safety‑oriented
