Job Description

Lawyers on Demand , a Consilio company is actively recruiting for a temporary Office Services Specialist for an onsite role with a prestigious law firm client in Washington, DC.

Hours: Candidates need to be able to be available between 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM, Monday - Friday, 37.50 hours per week

Start date: ASAP, Immediate opening

Duration: 8-12 weeks, potentially longer and could go temp-to-hire for the right candidate

Pay Rate: $22 - $25 hour, depending on directly related experience

Work Location: Onsite

Title: Office Services Coordinator

Position Summary:

Assist with the day-to-day facilities/office services functions to include the coordination of office maintenance services, performing mail and copy room operations, and maintenance of conference rooms.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Mailroom/Copy Center Services:

  • Responsible for the collection, sorting, and distribution of daily incoming/outgoing mail.
  • Ensures outgoing mail is delivered daily to the local post office and/or mail drop-off location.
  • Pick up mail from local post office (walking distance).
  • Processes courier packages to include Fed Ex and UPS.
  • Responsible for copy job requests from support staff and attorneys, while ensuring quality control measures are met.
  • Monitors and maintains office equipment to include copiers and postage machine. Office Services:
  • Maintain conference rooms, including preparation of rooms for meetings and in-office events.
  • Order meals for Firm events and meetings when needed.
  • Manage office supplies inventory.
  • May serve as back-up to the Receptionist when needed.
  • Assist with office/workstation moves, including the cleaning of new hire and departing employees' office/workstations.
  • Monitor and maintain office appliances to include (but not limited to) refrigerators, freezers, ice machines, water filtration system, and coffee makers.
  • Assist Firm Administrator, HR Manager and/or IS Manager on any employee ergonomic requests.
  • Assist with ad hoc projects and other duties as assigned by the Firm Administrator and/or HR Manager.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
