Rate :

• El Segundo, CA: $47.33 $55/hr
• Kent, WA: $47.33 $55/hr
• Florida: $39.43 $50/hr

Prescreen Questions

1. Procurement Experience & Category Expertise How many years of direct procurement/buying experience do you have, and specifically how much of that experience involves sourcing software services, SaaS subscriptions, and/or IT/ET hardware? Please briefly describe the types of categories you've managed.



2. Software Licensing & SaaS Knowledge Describe your experience reviewing and negotiating software licensing agreements and SaaS contracts. What key terms do you typically focus on to manage cost and risk (e.g., licensing models, renewal/auto-renewal clauses, usage rights, support/maintenance terms)?



3. ERP / Procurement Systems Which procurement or ERP systems have you used to process requisitions and purchase orders (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Coupa)? What is your proficiency level, and approximately how many transactions do you typically manage per month?



4. Negotiation & Supplier Management Can you provide an example of a successful supplier negotiation where you achieved meaningful cost savings or improved terms? What was your approach, and what was the outcome?

Key Responsibilities
- Execute end-to-end procurement activities for software licensing, SaaS subscriptions, IT/ET hardware, and related professional services
- Process purchase requisitions and convert them into purchase orders in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers to achieve optimal value while managing risk
- Review and interpret software licensing agreements, SaaS contracts, and maintenance/support terms
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (IT, Engineering, Finance, Legal) to clarify requirements and ensure alignment on specifications and timelines
- Manage supplier relationships and resolve issues related to delivery, quality, invoicing, and contract performance
- Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation to support audit and compliance requirements
- Track and report on key metrics such as cost savings, cycle time, and supplier performance
- Support spend analysis and identify opportunities for consolidation, standardization, and cost reduction
- Ensure compliance with company policies, applicable regulations, and ethical sourcing standards





Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
- 3 5 years of procurement/purchasing experience, with demonstrated focus on indirect categories
- Hands-on experience sourcing software services, IT/ET hardware, and/or SaaS solutions
- Working knowledge of software licensing models, SaaS subscription structures, and IT hardware procurement
- Strong negotiation skills and experience managing supplier relationships
- Proficiency with ERP/procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Coupa, or similar)
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision



Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the aerospace, defense, or high-tech manufacturing industries
- Familiarity with procurement compliance requirements (e.g., FAR/DFARS) in a government contracting environment
- Professional certification (e.g., CPSM, CPM, or equivalent)
- Experience with contract lifecycle management tools
- Understanding of total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis for IT/software purchase
