Job Description

About FarmGPU

FarmGPU operates a production GPU compute facility in Rancho Cordova purpose-built for AI workloads. Our infrastructure includes NVIDIA HGX clusters, high-performance storage systems spanning multiple platforms and protocols, and a high-speed Ethernet fabric designed for distributed AI training and inference. We operate in partnership with leading storage and compute companies, running a structured program to validate, benchmark, and bring to market next-generation AI storage solutions.

This role sits at the center of that program. We're looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager to own the coordination layer across our storage ecosystem partnerships — bridging our hardware partner, ISV partners, and internal engineering and operations teams to keep a complex, multi-party program running with the rigor and speed it demands.

What You'll Do

Partner & Ecosystem Program Management

  • Own coordination across joint partner engagements : serve as the primary operational point of contact between FarmGPU and our strategic hardware partner, managing program health, deliverable tracking, and stakeholder alignment across product, marketing, and ecosystem teams.
  • Drive multi-party engagements : where FarmGPU, our hardware partner, and an ISV are working together, you own the coordination layer — keeping schedules, commitments, and communications aligned across all parties.
  • Maintain partner engagement health : track status across active ISV relationships, flag risks or blockers early, and coordinate resolution with internal and external teams.
  • Support ISV onboarding : coordinate internally to ensure hardware, access, and technical readiness are in place when a new engagement begins.

Strategic Partner Interface

  • Deliver regular status updates and reporting — program health, ISV engagement progress, benchmark pipeline status, BOM and procurement timelines — in formats appropriate for each audience (engineering teams vs. executive stakeholders).
  • Support product team coordination : SSD and hardware sample timing, qualification timelines, and roadmap alignment for upcoming platform phases.
  • Coordinate on content and publication : white paper and benchmark publication timing, conference deliverables, reference architecture releases, and co-marketing activities with ISV partners.
  • Track ecosystem commitments : partner pipeline status, joint go-to-market activities, and deliverable accountability.

Internal Operations & Coordination

  • Own BOM and procurement tracking : coordinate with FarmGPU operations on hardware orders, quantities, timing, and inventory for active and upcoming cluster builds.
  • Maintain program schedule : track build phases, hardware deployment timelines, and dependencies across storage clusters and GPU fleet expansion.
  • Coordinate benchmark planning and scheduling : work with the engineering team to allocate cluster time, prioritize workloads, and sequence benchmark campaigns across partner engagements.
  • Track infrastructure health status as a program input — not running diagnostics yourself, but knowing current cluster state well enough to surface blockers and schedule risks.
  • Support program reporting : assist with operational metrics and status inputs for partner and internal stakeholder reports.

Content & Publication Pipeline

  • Drive the benchmark-to-content pipeline : coordinate timing and inputs between engineers producing results and the team publishing white papers, reference architectures, and technical blog posts.
  • Maintain engagement tracking dashboards and contribute to stakeholder reporting content.
  • Help prepare materials for external presentations : industry benchmark submissions, standards forums, and partner briefings.

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of technical program management in storage, datacenter infrastructure, HPC, or AI/ML systems — with direct accountability for multi-party programs involving external partners.
  • Sufficient technical depth in storage and datacenter infrastructure to track what you're coordinating: NVMe, NVMe-oF/RDMA, distributed storage systems (object, file, block), GPU cluster operations, and AI workload types (training, inference, checkpointing). You don't need to write the test plans, but you need to understand them well enough to track them, flag risks, and communicate status credibly.
  • Proven experience managing external partner relationships — ISVs, OEMs, or ecosystem partners — including structured engagement tracking, deliverable accountability, and escalation management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication : able to write a crisp executive status update, a detailed engineering milestone tracker, and a partner-facing deliverable summary — and know which to use when.
  • Operational discipline : you close the loop. Schedules, action items, and commitments don't fall through the cracks.
  • Comfort with procurement and BOM coordination : hardware ordering timelines, lead times, inventory management at datacenter scale.
  • High agency : you identify what needs to happen and drive it without waiting to be asked.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct experience with NVMe SSD products or enterprise storage platforms in a production or validation environment.
  • Background working with AI/ML infrastructure — GPU clusters, training/inference workloads, or AI storage benchmarking.
  • Experience coordinating with product and marketing teams on technical content — white papers, reference architectures, benchmark publications.
  • Familiarity with benchmark program management : planning, scheduling, and tracking multi-workload test campaigns.
  • Prior work in a neocloud, GPU cloud, or HPC datacenter environment.
  • Experience with storage or compute ecosystem partner programs at an OEM, ISV, or infrastructure company.
  • Demonstrated ability to work across hardware procurement, engineering, and go-to-market functions simultaneously.

Why FarmGPU?

  • You'll manage one of the most technically advanced storage validation and benchmarking programs in the industry — production-scale GPU infrastructure, multiple storage platform partnerships, and a publication pipeline that reaches industry benchmarks and major technical conferences.
  • High external visibility : your program outputs — benchmark results, reference architectures, white papers — get published and presented at industry forums.
  • Strategic role : you are the connective tissue between FarmGPU's engineering team and our strategic partner's product, marketing, and ecosystem organizations. You'll have direct influence over how the program grows.
  • Real infrastructure : this is not a lab-in-a-lab. It's a production facility running AI workloads for real customers and partners, deploying next-gen hardware as it becomes available.
  • Located in Rancho Cordova, CA , on-site at our GPU compute facility.

Compensation

  • $120,000 - $165,000 USD
  • Full-time, hybrid position in Rancho Cordova, CA . Remote work is not available for this role.

Culture & Fit

FarmGPU is a small team running serious infrastructure. We value people who are close to the work, communicate directly, and close the loop — not people who create process for its own sake.

AI-first by default. We use AI to move faster across every function. For this role that means using AI to draft status updates, synthesize partner communications, maintain program documentation, and accelerate reporting — not waiting for someone else to build you a tool.

High agency. You see a gap, you own it end-to-end: identify → decide → execute → document. We reward people who drive outcomes, not people who escalate everything.

Direct communication. We say the thing that needs to be said, early. Status updates that say "on track" when there's a risk are worse than no update. We prefer clear, factual, solution-oriented communication — especially with external partners and sponsors.

Systems thinking. The program is a system. Changes to one partner's schedule affect another's cluster allocation. A hardware procurement delay ripples into a benchmark timeline. We value people who can see those dependencies before they become problems.

Radically transparent. Key metrics are visible internally. You'll have full context on program health, infrastructure status, and partner engagement — and we expect you to use it to make better decisions.
