Position Overview
The Research Associate will conduct research, development, and manufacturing laboratory experimentation to support ongoing scientific and product initiatives. This role involves designing and executing experiments, analyzing data, preparing technical documentation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and execute experimental protocols
• Perform bench experiments, collect observations, and analyze data
• Prepare technical reports, summaries, protocols, and quantitative analyses
• Maintain complete and accurate laboratory documentation and electronic records
• Present and discuss experimental results within project teams
• Participate in cross-functional technical teams, including investigations and core project groups
• Troubleshoot technical issues and implement corrective actions
• Identify process improvements within the laboratory environment
• Follow GMP, GLP, Design Control, and related quality procedures
• Monitor work to promote Quality First Time standards
• Act as principal investigator for assigned studies depending on level
• Train and mentor team members in areas of expertise at higher levels
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline required
• 4 to 6 years of experience
• Knowledge of basic and specialized laboratory techniques
• Experience designing experiments and interpreting results
• Ability to search and evaluate scientific literature
• Proficient with word processing, spreadsheets, graphing, and presentation software
• Strong documentation and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
