Job Description

About the Role:

We’re seeking a skilled and proactive PLC Technician to support and enhance our manufacturing operations. This role plays a critical part in maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving plant equipment, with a strong focus on PLC systems and electrical infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Install, program, troubleshoot, and repair Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) systems across manufacturing equipment
• Develop and modify advanced Allen-Bradley PLC logic to support operational efficiency
• Diagnose and resolve issues within PLC circuits, electrical systems, and automated processes
• Design and build control panels and interface systems for machinery and production lines
• Evaluate existing equipment and recommend automation improvements using PLC technology
• Configure, troubleshoot, and support motor drives and power transmission systems
• Maintain and service plant electrical infrastructure, including switchgear and related components
• Perform electrical and electronic diagnostics, repairs, and installations throughout the facility
• Track and document equipment performance, including barrel and screw inventory, maintenance history, and throughput data
• Support both electrical and mechanical maintenance activities as needed
• Recognize when additional expertise or resources are required and escalate appropriately
• Adhere to all company safety standards, policies, and procedures

Qualifications

• Strong experience with PLC programming, troubleshooting, and system integration
• Hands-on knowledge of industrial electrical systems, controls, and automation
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Willingness to take on a wide range of maintenance responsibilities in a manufacturing environment
