Position Description

The position will be responsible for effectively managing materials and yard organization. The Specialist should be skilled and comfortable working within a fast growing and fast paced business environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. Ensure incoming deliveries and ordered materials meet quality standards.
  2. Unload and Load Deliveries
  3. Ensure that items are received correctly and efficiently into the inventory yard from outside suppliers/vendors/home office.
  4. Ensure that items are moved efficiently from the yard to the work crews/trucks for transport to the field sites.
  5. Organize materials in the most efficient way using forklifts, pallets, etc.
  6. Assure that all incoming and outgoing material is accurately accounted for.
  7. Maintain inventory records.
  8. Prepare inventory for pick-up and distribution.
  9. Maintain immaculate yard organization and cleanliness.
  10. Follow all safety standards and requirements.
  11. Ability to connect and communicate in plain and concise language.

Position Requirements

  1. Previous experience in a warehouse or shipping department, preferred.
  2. CDL is required.
  3. Forklift experience.
  4. Basic level Microsoft Excel knowledge desired, including the ability to create and modify spreadsheets.
  5. Basic analytical and problem-solving skills.
  6. Experience in utility construction industry is not required but learning and embracing the industry is a must.
  7. Travel to jobsites may be required. Less than 10% travel anticipated.
