Job Title: Marketing and Creative Project Manager

Location: Onsite in Plano, Texas

Job Type: W2 Contract - 6 months

Expected hours per week: 40 hours per week

Pay: $47-$52 / hour

Role & Responsibilities

The MX Marketing, Creative Project Manager will be responsible for managing creative campaigns, track and coordinate cross-functional activities, for driving marketing efforts for mobile product portfolio in the US working closely with Samsung’s wireless carrier and retailer account teams. The scope focuses on integrated go-to-market planning, launch support, and best-in-class creative execution. This role will report to the Director, MX Integrated Creative Production.

  • This role will support multiple marketing and cross functional support teams within the MX organization, including: sales account teams, creative production, retail operations as well as multiple agencies in the development of demand & traffic generating marketing campaigns, in-store experiences, promotions, and comprehensive advertising materials & plans, including experiential campaigns
  • The position will require a blend of analytical skills, strategic thinking, relationship building, and organizational influence. This role will collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage mid- and long-term strategic project roadmaps, report on plans and schedules, drive escalation and address resolution of issues, and manage mitigation plans for project risks. The Marketing Manager will also conduct and support launch post-mortem analysis across carriers and retailers.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple projects from kick-off to completion, including the creation and communication of project schedules, budget tracking and ensuring all deliverables are met, trafficking, asset procurement, quality control and regularly updating project status.
  • Ability to organize and understand project requirements that may at times be ambiguous. Work with cross functional teams to define, estimate and document the overall scope of assigned projects
  • Facilitate meetings with collaborators and circulate actionable notes. Addresses issues related to variances in timeline, scope, schedule, budget and quality.
  • Confidence in managing projects in a high-volume fast-paced studio environment
  • Ability to create strong relationships and build trust with cross-functional teams, leadership, third-party vendors, freelancers and other appropriate partners.
  • Monitor progress against plan, address problems, provide solutions, and implement changes as necessary to ensure the project timeline is followed
  • Manage and communicate ongoing changes in tasks, goals, or performance.
  • Participate in meetings and development of requirements and specifications.
  • Collaborate with internal functions to develop and execute scopes of projects, including estimates and timelines, successfully and efficiently.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BA/BS in marketing, project management, communications or related field; or equivalent experience required
  • 6 to 8 years of professional experience in project management, integrated marketing, or product management in cross functional environment – creative agency experience a plus
  • A highly detail-oriented and proactive individual driven by results who can manage multiple projects, tasks, and deliverables in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills as well as the ability to articulate clearly and effectively over the phone and through email; Must be an active team player within a cross-functional team
  • Can manage and track multiple projects at once in a fast-paced environment, with responsibilities including prioritizing, delegating, budgeting, and implementing processes

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to interact effectively with people in a variety of organizational roles
  • Advanced skills using PowerPoint, Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to deal and cope with ambiguity at times and be flexible
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic fast paced industry and matrix organization with multiple constituents
  • The ability to work either independently or in a team environment to achieve personal and team project goals, including the completion of assignments within and exceeding established time frame
