Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Loan Officer Associate assists a designated Loan Officer(s) in originating and processing loans.

Duties include:

  • Reviewing the initial loan application.
  • Requesting required documents, including follow up if needed.
  • Calculating income in order to validate data.
  • Running AUS and reviewing findings.
  • Preparing and sending prequalification letters.
  • Preparing the initial disclosure package.
  • Reviewing and preparing loan documents for submission to Processing.
  • Managing the Loan Officer(s) calendar, including follow-up, appointment setting and time blocking as appropriate.
  • Primary point of contact for phone calls.
  • Managing the CRM, including follow-ups with warm leads and closed loans.
  • Pipeline management, including scheduled pipeline reviews, daily tracking and weekly status calls to customers.
  • Utilization of designated Sales tools and reporting methods.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • 4+ years of mortgage experience, including all areas of the loan process, as well as a thorough knowledge of FHA, Conventional, VA and USDA product financing.
  • High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree is a plus
  • NMLS License required

  • Must have attention to detail and customer service focus.
  • Ability to adhere to established processes and checklists.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fluid and rapidly changing environment.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with strict time requirements.
  • Proficient with MS Office, with a knowledge of industry automation and software.
  • High level of integrity, ethics, discretion and professionalism in handling confidential and sensitive information.
  • Sales aptitude is a plus.
