Land O’ Frost is a third-generation, family-owned company that has grown into a national leader while maintaining a strong, people-focused culture. We are seeking a Food Safety Manager to join our Madisonville, KY facility.

Position Overview

This is a technical Food Safety role with a strong emphasis on regulatory compliance and systems management. The Food Safety Manager will lead plant-level food safety initiatives and oversee key areas including the microlab, CAPA processes, and auditing.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with USDA regulations, SQF standards, and HACCP programs
• Manage and continuously improve food safety systems, process controls, and preventative actions
• Lead internal and external audits, plant walk-throughs, and risk assessments for new products and processes
• Oversee laboratory operations, including data analysis and support of investigative activities
• Provide leadership, training, and development for the Food Safety/HACCP team

Qualifications

• 3 to 5+ years of experience in food manufacturing (USDA-regulated environment strongly preferred)
• Strong knowledge of the 7-step sanitation process
• SQF and/or HACCP certification preferred
• Experience managing a microlab and leading a small team (1–2 direct reports)
• Demonstrated focus in food safety rather than general QA/QC
