The Director of Revenue Management is responsible for maximizing overall hotel revenue for rooms and food and beverage through the implementation of effective pricing and distribution strategies in large hotels. Out-perform direct competitors by winning market share with rational and competitive pricing, distribution strategy backed by targeted marketing, and careful management hotel inventory to maximize topline revenue and yield high net profits. Manage and oversee revenue management analytic functions to produce reporting that support and evaluate hotel business strategies. Provide guidance and support sales and marketing initiatives that are targeted to meet the needs of the hotel. Produce accurate revenue forecasts that help set hotel goals and outgrow the competition. Display leadership qualities that mentor, develop, and guide hotel team members.

The position is a key member of the hotel’s executive leadership team and plays a critical role in overall commercial strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Revenue Strategy & Pricing

  • Develop and implement dynamic pricing strategies to maximize RevPAR, ADR, and occupancy.
  • Manage room inventory, rate structures, and availability across all channels.
  • Optimize business mix (transient, group, corporate, OTA, wholesale).
  • Ensure competitive positioning through market and demand analysis.

Forecasting & Analysis

  • Produce daily, weekly, and monthly revenue forecasts and budgets.
  • Analyze booking pace, pickup trends, cancellations, and no-shows.
  • Conduct competitive set (STR) analysis and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Prepare revenue reports and present insights to ownership and leadership.

Commercial Leadership

  • Lead weekly revenue strategy meetings with Sales, Marketing, and Operations.
  • Collaborate with Sales on group pricing, displacement analysis, and contract strategy.
  • Support marketing initiatives with data-driven insights and promotions.

Financial Performance

  • Drive total hotel revenue including rooms, F&B, and events.
  • Identify opportunities to increase profitability and outperform competitors.
  • Monitor KPIs such as RevPAR index, GOP, and net revenue.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop revenue team members and analysts.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, analytics, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure alignment with Hyatt brand standards and commercial strategy.

The salary range for this position is $110,000-$135,000.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, Finance, or related field
  • 3–5+ years in hotel revenue management, with leadership experience preferred
  • Strong analytical and forecasting skills
  • Experience with systems such as Opera PMS, RMS tools, STR reports, Envision
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis capabilities
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work quickly in a high-pressure & high stress environment
  • Exceptional with details and follow up
  • Flexible and long hours sometimes required
